LIP which was established in 1977 manufactures a full range of high quality prepared microbiological media for both the clinical and industrial markets.

The company which operates from a modern manufacturing facility is a BS EN ISO 9001:2008 registered and uses the latest technology in media production.

The facilities include purpose built environmentally controlled areas and cleanrooms that are temperature& humidity monitored to maximise the quality and shelf life of the product and custom designed high output machines are used in the manufacturing process.

LIP is supported by highly trained and qualified personnel and offers full technical advice with dedicated customer support.

Top quality raw materials based on Oxoid dehydrated culture media& supplements ensure the highest quality product, batch sizes are selected to maximise quality and all aspects of the manufacturing process are fully controlled and monitored. LIP products are individually labelled to enable full batch traceability and the latest packaging technology is used to maximise product shelf life.

Quality Control Certificates are supplied with each batch of media and are available as hard copies or can easily be downloaded from here.

Becoming part of the wider Fannin in 2004 and with the continued investment in the manufacturing facilities, LIP continues to be the major Irish manufacturer of prepared media.
