LIP Diagnostic Services, part of Fannin Ltd, wish to advise name changes to the product codes detailed above. This is due to the permanent introduction of a Fastidious Anaerobic Base Medium under trial since April. The introduction of this medium is a corrective action due to haemolysis problems with the raw material previously used.

for our prepared Microbiological Media have been updated with the newly reclassified strain
Aspergillus brasiliensis ATCC® 16404™. This update is effective immediately.

LIP Harmonised Formula Product Range “Update”
LIP Diagnostic Services, part of Fannin Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of additional product lines suitable for
Harmonised Microbial Limit Tests as outlined under section 2.6.13 of the European Pharmacopoeia, version 6.
This notification details current product lines. Batches supplied after March 1st will have been manufactured using
commercially available dehydrated base media, the formulations of which are compliant with those specified for
Harmonised Method testing. The performance of these harmonised formulations is comparable to previously used base
media, and all batches produced are subject to the same manufacturing processes and quality control tests prior to
release for sale.
