Dear Customer,

LIP Diagnostic Services, part of Fannin Ltd, wish to advise title updates to product codes W14228 and W11387. This is due to the use/addition of Meropenem Supplement as the selective agent. Meropenem has proven more effective as the selective agent when products are tested with controlled strains.

Please note new product titles as follows:

• W14228 VRE Broth + Meropenem
• W11387 VRE Agar + Vancomycin + Meropenem

Re: Use of LIP ready-to-use media by ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited laboratories.

LIP, part of the Fannin Ltd group is currently accredited to EN ISO 9001:2008 and operates a very successful Quality Management System.

All necessary order processing, production, packaging and dispatch controls are in place to ensure top quality product is produced and supplied consistently to all end-users.

Applicable testing procedures are also in place for all product lines with tight product specifications in place. Only product that meets specification is released onto the marketplace.

Accredited laboratories should refer to the following document:

Section 3.1 (b) details that the end-user may apply a sampling and testing rate to batches in keeping with the expectation of a consistent supply when product suitability is confirmed. QC re-testing of each batch by the end user is therefore not necessary. Batch specific Certs of Analysis are available on our website here www.lipdiagnostic.com/qccerts.

LIP Diagnostic Services, part of Fannin Ltd, wish to advise name changes to the product codes detailed above. This is due to the permanent introduction of a Fastidious Anaerobic Base Medium under trial since April. The introduction of this medium is a corrective action due to haemolysis problems with the raw material previously used.

LIP Harmonised Formula Product Range“Update”

LIP Diagnostic Services, part of Fannin Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of additional product lines suitable forHarmonised Microbial Limit Tests as outlined under section 2.6.13 of the European Pharmacopoeia, version 6.

This notification details current product lines. Batches supplied after March 1st will have been manufactured using commercially available dehydrated base media, the formulations of which are compliant with those specified for Harmonised Method testing. The performance of these harmonised formulations is comparable to previously used base media, and all batches produced are subject to the same manufacturing processes and quality control tests prior to release for sale.
